Operating Blade Assist is as simple as gently push the studs on the side of the blade until it pops open. Only available on knives equipped with Max-Lock. Glass Breaker: Smash your way out if you have to. When an emergency situation demands exit through a vehicles window, use the sharp point of the Glass Breaker, positioned on the tail end of the knife handle, to easily shatter auto glass. Max-Lock: Take safety to the extreme. COAST knives equipped with the Max-Lock system can lock the blade in either the open or closed position. Locking the blade closed prevents the assisted opening mechanism from accidentally engaging in your pocket. Locking the blade open protects your fingers from an accidental closure during use. Knives with Max-Lock also have a standard Liner-Lock to make the knives twice as safe. One Position Knife Clip: Secure your knife at hands reach. The COAST One Position Knife Clip makes it easy to keep your knife readily accessible while also tucked away in your pocket. Seat Belt Cutter: Get out in a hurry when it matters most. In case of an emergency in your vehicle, use the recessed blade of the Seat Belt Cutter, positioned on the back of the knife handle, to slash through seat belt material and work toward exiting the vehicle. Thumb Studs: Open the knife with a quick flick. Small studs mounted on each side of the knife blade allow for easy, one-handed opening. The RX395 is the optimal rescue tool for professionals and casual users alike. Using our Blade Assist Technology, the RX395 Knife is incredibly fast and easy to open so you can get to work on whatever task is at hand.
